On Saturday, February 6, Redwood Christian High School Senior, Rayah Miller, was recognized as the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) “Good Citizen” by the DAR Piedmont Chapter. Qualities of a DAR Good Citizen are “outstanding degrees of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism,” all of which are attributes that describe Rayah. She submitted information about her family, school activities, extra curricular activities and community service, work experience, awards and achievements, future plans, and career goals all of which plus an essay were factored into her first place selection and a $500 scholarship for college. In addition to her family, MSHS Principal, Mr. Warner and RCE Music Teacher (and member of the DAR-Piedmont chapter) were in attendance.
Congratulations, Rayah!
After graduation, Rayah hopes to become a Registered Nurse and work in a hospital to gain experience. The area of nursing that most interests her is Labor and Delivery. One of her main goals in life is to be able to travel the world and experience different cultures. She also would love to work for a better cause and believes that she could use the skills she learns in healthcare to benefit other through mission work.
